By Airplane (Air Route)

• Arrive at New Chitose Airport (LCC available) → Take JR Rapid Airport (Otaru bound) or Limousine Bus (approximately 10 minutes) → Arrive at Minami Chitose Station → Take JR Limited Express Hokuto (Stops at stations in the Donan area: Nanae, Yako, Mori, Onuma Koen, New Hakodate Hokuto, Goryokaku) → Arrive at Hakodate (approximately 3.5 hours from Minami Chitose)
• Arrive at Hakodate Airport → Take Limousine Bus (approximately 30 minutes) → Arrive at Hakodate Station

By Train (JR)

• From Tokyo Take the Tohoku/Hokkaido Shinkansen from Ueno Station (approximately 4 hours) → Arrive at New Hakodate Hokuto Station
• From Sapporo → Take JR Limited Express Hokuto (Stops at stations in the Donan area: Nanae, Yako, Mori, Onuma Koen, New Hakodate Hokuto, Goryokaku) → Arrive at Hakodate Station (approximately 4 hours)

• From Sapporo to Hakodate (approximately 4.5 hours)
  • Take National Route 12 → Hokkaido Expressway (via Chitose, Tomakomai, Muroran, Noboribetsu, Lake Toya, Onuma, etc.) [To Onuma IC] – Approximately 3.5 hours → Prefectural Route 149 → National Route 5 (including Hakodate Shindo) → Arrive at Hakodate
• From New Chitose to Hakodate (approximately 4 hours)
  • Proceed to Tomakomai and enter the Hokkaido Expressway from Tomakomai IC (via Muroran, Noboribetsu, Lake Toya, Onuma, etc.) [To Onuma IC] – Approximately 3 hours → Prefectural Route 149 → National Route 5 (including Hakodate Shindo) → Arrive at Hakodate

To go around Donan

If you want to see the Japan Sea side, a car is recommended
